Research Analyst

A professional research company located in Orangeville, Ontario is looking for a Research Analyst to join our dynamic environment.

As a Research Analyst with CCI Research Inc., you will play a key role in all phases of the survey research process including the successful attainment, planning, and execution of a variety of survey research projects in the fields of education, health, and business. The candidates for these positions will possess a university degree in a related field, and graduate level education (Master’s or Ph.D.) would be considered desirable.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Survey instrument development and review
  • Designing sampling and/or recruitment strategies for telephone, online, paper surveys, and online panels
  • Participation in data collection including interviews and focus groups
  • Working with databases in a variety of formats such as MS Excel, SPSS, R
  • Quantitative (statistics) and qualitative data analysis
  • Report writing and development of presentations and other results summaries
  • Quality assurance for written and numerical reports
  • Project management
  • Communications and presentations to clients and potential clients
  • Proposal writing and review as well as contribution to other sales and marketing efforts

The following would also be considered valuable assets:

  • Bilingual
  • Project management experience or PMP designation
  • Proposal writing experience
  • Experience in program evaluations
  • VBA programing

Successful candidates will be confident and proficient using software such as SPSS and Microsoft Office, and will be able to multi-task efficiently.

Senior Research Consultant

A professional research company located in Orangeville, Ontario is looking for an experienced team player to join our dynamic environment.

Position Summary:
Are you looking for the opportunity to make a big impact in research with a growing company?

As a Senior Research Consultant with CCI Research Inc., you will play a key role in all phases of the survey research process, including the successful attainment, planning, and execution of a variety of projects in the fields of education, health, and business.  As part of project planning and execution, the Senior Research Consultant will construct research and sampling plans, design survey instruments, conduct statistical and qualitative analysis, and generate results in the form of numerical reports, written reports, presentations, and other innovative formats.

The candidate for this position will possess graduate education (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a related field (preferably health, education, or statistics) along with more than 5 years of experience conducting survey research projects from start to finish.  This position requires analytical skills to support the design and execution of telephone, online/mobile, paper and combined methodology surveys. There will be an emphasis on written work in the form of reports to summarize survey results and proposals to obtain new projects.  The candidate will be an organized individual, possessing strong communication and problem-solving skills.  The candidate will be confident and proficient using statistical software and Microsoft Office, and will be able to multi-task efficiently while maintaining unparalleled attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An aspiration to be a leader in survey research; you have had significant experience with executing research projects from start to finish with both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies including proposal preparation, questionnaire design, project management, and data analysis
  • Great attention to detail and highly organized, with an ability to manage multiple projects at once while consistently shifting priorities and timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills proven through final research products such as written reports and presentations, as well as development and maintenance of client relationships
  • Highly motivated, self-directed & possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A graduate level degree in a research and/or social science field such as psychology, sociology, or research operations. An additional PMP or Program Evaluation certification would be considered an asset.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience including exposure to a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research services including:
    • Project management experience
    • Both designing and executing survey research projects
    • Developing qualitative and quantitative instruments
    • Designing sampling strategies, including cell phone sampling
    • Designing and executing comprehensive research reports
  • Strong written communication skills in the form of preparation of proposals and research reports, including writing, editing, and revision. It is also expected that the successful candidate will be experienced and proficient in telling a story with data.
  • Strong oral communication skills in the form of client communications and presentations
  • Extensive knowledge of both descriptive and inferential statistics and the ability to convey findings
  • Experience using SPSS or other statistical programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail and exacting standards to maintain accuracy and support quality control
  • Ability to balance numerous responsibilities simultaneously
